Ernestyna JagusErnestyna studied Health and Social Care Level 2 at Leicester College. She spoke to our Alumni Team about how college inspired her in an unexpected way, and what she’s doing after finishing her qualification.

“I always thought I wanted to work in a medical profession,” said Ernestyna, “but studying at Leicester College made me realise that my dream job is working with people no matter what profession it is in.”

Ernestyna is currently a Customer Relationship manager at Oakham.

“My main responsibilities are ensuring that the customers are happy, that they feel like they are at home. I earn their trust and try to help them,” she said.

“I think getting a proper job since leaving Leicester College is what I’m the most proud of,” said Ernestyna. “Finding a job is hard but Leicester College has made me more confident. I have learnt to stand in front of a crowd and present a topic, which I’m ever so grateful for.”

“Listening to people’s commands is definitely the biggest challenge I have to face after finding employment,” she admitted. “But I have learnt to just get on with it and do my job. I would like to be a manager at my current company in a few years.

Ernestyna’s ultimate career goal is to become a manager of a big company.
